Data Deletion Request
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Learn how to exercise this right and what it means for your account.
1. Your Right to Deletion
Under UK GDPR (Article 17), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances. This is also known as the "right to be forgotten."
You can request deletion of your data if:
- The personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
- You withdraw consent on which the processing is based (where processing is based solely on consent).
- You object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing.
- The personal data has been processed unlawfully.
- The personal data must be erased to comply with a legal obligation.
- The personal data has been collected in relation to the offer of information society services to a child.
2. What Data Will Be Deleted
If your deletion request is approved, we will permanently delete the following data associated with your account:
- Account information - your name, email address, and account credentials.
- Professional information - your target industry, job role preferences, and career stage data.
- CV and career content - any CV documents, cover letters, or LinkedIn profile content you uploaded.
- Interview data - mock interview recordings, answers, and AI feedback.
- Usage data - your activity history, feature usage, and platform interactions.
- Support communications - any messages or support requests you sent to us.
Important: Payment and billing records will be retained for 7 years in accordance with HMRC requirements under the Finance Act 2008, even if your account is deleted.

When you submit a data deletion request:
- We will verify your identity to ensure the request is legitimate.
